    A blog is an online journal or information website run by an individual, group or corporation that offers regularly updated content about a topic. It presents information in a reverse chronological order. A blog is written in an informal or conversational style. The word Blog is a combination of the words ‘web’ and ‘log’. Blogs were originally called weblogs.

               Blogging refers to the process of regularly updating,maintaining and managing a blog, from idea generation to publishing process. It is the process of creating articles, photos, and other forms of content and publishing on a blog. Blogger is someone who writes regularly for a blog.

A blog generally comprises a number of different elements. In the main block, Posts are displayed. Each post includes a title, date, the author’s name or nickname, a permalink(URL). Examples of blogs: Mashable, The Innovate Educator, Lifehacker, Gizmodo, newspaper blogs etc.

Blogs are often interactive and include sections at the bottom of individual blog posts where readers can leave comments- two way communication.

Blogs are a source of knowledge, opinions and concrete advice. They can be vehicle for creativity and for marketing. A blog consist of a series of articles or posts. Blog content can typically be edited after it's been published

Authorship of a blog is clearly attributed to the author or one or more. RSS Feed: Subscribers receive updates without visiting the site. RSS feed provides a way for users to subscribe to the blog and receive automatic updates whenever new content is published. 

Monetizing a blog can involve various strategies, such as displaying ads, affiliate marketing, sponsored content, selling products or services, and offering premium content or memberships.
