Discussion lesson plan

 Discussion lesson plan As part of B Ed curriculum , for discussion lesson plan we students were divided into 3groups. Our group members were Shilpa, Aparna, Arsha, Akhila and Christa. We discussed and shared our ideas while preparing lesson plan. A lesson planning involves structuring lessons to minimise or eliminate traditional discussions while still promoting interactive learning.  Field trip to Kerala Arts and Crafts village As part of B Ed curriculum, we students of BNV College of Teacher Education, Thiruvalla went on a field trip to Kerala Arts and Craft village, Vellar. Field Trip to kerala legislative assembly

 Field trip to Kerala Legislative Assembly Field visit to KLIBF was a great experience. Student teachers got a chance to understand and learn how to organise and plan events. We also got chance to get to know different publishers, writers and also got chance to view book release and talks by various writers. The field trip to the Kerala Legislative International Book Festival was an enriching experience that broadened my understanding of both literature and governance. As we navigated through the vibrant displays of books from diverse cultures and genres, I was struck by the power of literature to transcend boundaries and unite people through shared stories and knowledge. Video script

 As part of B.Ed curriculum , we the English optional students of BNV College of Teacher Education, had the opportunity to engage in video scripting. This experience was only enriching but also highly educational. Whole class was divided into two groups. Our group members were Christamol, Gayathri, Akhila, Amala, Abhijith and Shilpa. Criticism class reflection

 As part of B Ed curriculum,Fourteen students from the English department of BNVCTE participated in criticism class on two days (26-06-24Wednesday and 21-06-24, Thursday). The lessons assigned to us were from both 8th std and 9th std. In addition to this, models of teaching were also included. Common mistakes while taking class were lack of clarity. Students seemed confused during the class. Insufficient interaction with the class was another mistake to be taken care of.Criticism class helps to evaluate teaching methods, learning materials , theories etc which helps students to develop the ability to critique and reflect on various aspects including instructional strategies, methods teaching - learning resources etc. Through such classes, students learn to evaluate the effectiveness of different approaches, identify strengths and weakness and apply critical thinking to improve their own teaching practices. 8th week of teaching practice

8th week 8th week of the teaching practice was done from October 13 to October 17.This week had gone very fastly and it was a very busy Diagnostic test was conducted on 16/10/24. Students was interested in the test and they did well. This week was quite dynamic as we conducted conscientisation programs and other school-based activities on October 14th. Due to a packed schedule, we didn’t have any free periods, which meant we had to adjust our class timings to fit everything in. This challenge encouraged teamwork and flexibility among the staff, allowing us to successfully carry out the programs while ensuring that our educational goals remained a priority. It was a wonderful experience, filled with excitement and pride, as the mayor's presence underscored the importance of fostering a creative environment for our students.

7th week of teaching practice

 7th week 7 th week of my teaching practice was done successfully from October 7 to October 10. I took the lesson at 8A lesson plan event hough I have take a few classes at 9A. The class was ok and students were listening carefully eventhough few were making some noises. This week taught me some lessons in teaching from my experience. I need to improve myself for becoming a successful teacher. You had to be well knowledable in your subject as well as confident in your communication. A teacher must be well prepared before his class. Hope I can improve myself....

6th week of teaching practice at Fort School

 6th week This week there was observation by my Optional teacher. The classes were as usual and students are responsible well in this week. There was science lab inauguration by Herba. The sixth week of my teaching practice was productive. I gained numerous valuable experiences.  Our teaching practice has been extended until 25th October. A science exhibition was held at the school, but only 25% of the students participated. Nonetheless, it was an enriching experience, and I enjoyed it, creating some wonderful memories."

Fifth week of teaching practice at Fort school

 5th Week of teaching practice at Fort School  School reopened after the Onam vacation. We all have our general, optional observations on this week.Initially, the students were a bit restless, still carrying the excitement of the holiday while I teaching but through engaging discussions and interactive activities, I noticed their focus shifting as they became absorbed in the themes of the lesson. The school has an interschool football competition as part of Swatchatha Bharath and Fort School itself won the match. Short put, Javelin throw were there for High school and upper primary sections.
